Nancy and Grady’s September wedding at Melrose Knitting Mill was an elegantly intimate celebration that showcased the vintage charm of the historic textile mill, right in the heart of downtown Raleigh. Their unique color palette and incorporation of fresh greenery came together in perfect harmony with the mill’s modern aesthetic.
Nancy looked classy and timeless in her fashion-forward gown featuring an open back and deep v neckline, complete with pockets hidden in the full skirt. Her bouquet of blush roses, white and burgundy blooms elevated her look while her bridesmaids powder blue gowns added a soft, feminine feel. Grady and his groomsmen looked handsome in classic black tuxes.
All eyes were on the soon-to-be Slanes as they said their “I do’s” against billowing white linens, illuminated by the natural light pouring through the tall windows and romantic glow of the intricate chandeliers overhead.
The venue was transformed for the reception with the addition of round tables and a long farm table. The round tables were dressed in white linens and topped with small floral arrangements, which stood out beautifully against the grey-blue napkins. The farm table boasted a long swath of fresh greenery interspersed with white blooms. Nancy and Grady treated their guests to a delicious dinner catered by Mulino Italian Kitchen, but the true treat was the assortment of cakes for dessert! Of the four delectable creations, the newlyweds cut into the coconut first before celebrating the night away with their loved ones. Congratulations to Nancy and Grady!
