Originally built in the 1930s, the historic Wakefield Barn is surrounded by beautiful natural gardens, courtyards, and a spacious terrace – making it the perfect place for Lizzy and Nate’s outdoor wedding!
The couple began their day inside the restored, rustic barn. Lizzy looked stunning in a romantic lace gown with intricate floral detail, and her bridesmaids complemented her nicely in rose colored gowns. Their dresses brought out the blush colored blooms interspersed with greenery, burgundy and ivory flowers making up their bouquets. Nate and his groomsmen looked handsome in classic black tuxedos. Once everyone was ready, the wedding party met with each other outside for photos showcasing the barn!
The ceremony was held on the grass outside of the barn. Two large floral arrangements sat on either side of the stone altar, and the couple said their “I do’s” in front of Wakefield’s lush landscape. Natural elements and warm blush-tones came together in perfect harmony to create a setting that celebrated the surroundings but kept the focus on Lizzy and Nate!
Guests were treated to a cigar bar before entering the barn for the reception. Natural light poured in through the windows, illuminating the lofty ceilings. Fresh greenery lined the rustic walls of the barn and provided pops of color. Round tables were topped with beige linens and featured gold votives and floral arrangements similar to Lizzy’s bouquet.
