Nestled in a cozy corner of downtown Cary, NC, the historic Matthews House features a Greek Revival mansion, beautifully manicured grounds, and a spacious ballroom – perfect for Jordan and Andrew’s romantic, fairytale-like, vintage inspired wedding.
Jordan began her day in the historic home surrounded by her loved ones and bridesmaids. After hair and makeup, it was time to put on their gorgeous dresses. Each bridesmaid wore a different gown, but the mix of neutral tones complemented each other nicely and stayed on theme with the wedding’s earthy elegance. Jordan looked beautiful in a lace gown and her bountiful bouquet made up of fresh greenery and ivory blooms only elevated her boho-chic look. Andrew and his groomsmen wore charcoal suits and mirrored the bridesmaids different colored dresses with their ties.
The ceremony was held on the Matthews House manicured grounds. The greenery of the landscape, from the low-hanging trees to the bushes, combined with the rustic brick created a historic, enchanted-garden feel. As a tribute to their love and growing relationship, Jordan and Andrew combined personal soils to create a strong foundation for a plant they then watered together. What a perfect testimony to the couples’ love for each other and journey together!
After the ceremony, guests moved into the historic home’s ballroom for dinner, drinks, dancing… and of course, cake! Tables were dressed in charcoal linens and topped with spruces of greenery in dainty glass vases, along with white lanterns and votives. After enjoying a delicious dinner catered by City BBQ, it was time for dessert. Jordan and Andrew cut into their two-tiered crumb coated cake, but guests also had the option of treating themselves to a unique s’more bar – spreading s’more love is arguably one of the best ways to end a night full of celebration. Congrats to Jordan and Andrew!
